Our story
A quieter kind of home.
The Nontoxic Co. was founded on a simple frustration: the everyday objects we touch most often are full of things we'd never knowingly bring inside. We started with a list. Then a standard. Then a small collection of pieces we'd want in our own home.
No.1
Material first
We start with the source — organic cotton, untreated wood, surgical steel.
No.2
Tested honestly
Every piece is screened against a list of common household toxins. We share results.
No.3
Built to last
Slow design, repairable when possible, beautiful as it ages.
"At The Nontoxic Co., we believe your home should be the safest environment in your life. Not a source of hidden chemical exposure. We exist to make nontoxic living accessible, trustworthy, and beautifully simple. Every product we carry is third-party certified, rigorously sourced, and held to a standard we'd apply to our own homes. No greenwashing. No vague claims. No compromises. Just clean products, honest answers, and a home you can feel good about."
